Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026. HomeLogic is designed to collect as little personal data as technically possible. This page explains what we do collect, what Google AdSense collects, and how to opt out.
1. The short version
HomeLogic does not require an account, email address, or any personal information to use. We do not track which calculators you use, what room dimensions you enter, or what results you receive. Your unit preference (Metric or US) is stored in your browser's local storage and never transmitted to our servers — because we don't have servers. The only third-party service that may collect data about your visit is Google AdSense, which displays ads on this site. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time.
2. Information we collect
We do not operate a backend. There is no database, no analytics account, no contact form that emails us your data. When you load a page on HomeLogic, the request goes to Cloudflare Pages (our static host) and to Google's AdSense servers. We never see your IP address, browser fingerprint, or browsing behavior.
The only data we store is your unit preference (the string "metric" or "us"), saved in your browser's local storage under the key homelogic-units. This never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
3. Google AdSense & cookies
HomeLogic displays ads served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads to you based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Cookie name(s):
__gads,__gpi,IDE(and others Google may add). - Purpose: To serve and measure advertising, including frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting, and personalization.
- Lifespan: Typically 13 months, but varies by cookie.
- Third parties with access: Google LLC and its advertising partners.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info/choices. These opt-outs do not remove all ads — they only prevent personalization.
4. Third-party privacy policies
You should review the privacy policies of these third-party services to understand how they handle your data:
- Google Privacy Policy
- Google AdSense Privacy & Terms
- Cloudflare Privacy Policy (our static host)
5. Children's information
HomeLogic does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe your child provided personal information through this site, please contact us and we will work with our advertising partners to ensure it is removed. AdSense ads on this site are configured as family-safe, but Google's personalization may still apply based on prior browsing history.
6. Third-party ad vendors we use
We use Google AdSense Auto Ads exclusively. We do not directly use any other ad networks, demand-side platforms, or data brokers. However, Google may itself partner with third-party vendors to serve ads. The current list of Google's vendors can be found at Google's partner sites policy.
7. Your GDPR / CCPA rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, you have specific rights regarding your personal data, including:
- The right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.
- The right to object to or restrict processing of your data.
- The right to data portability.
- The right to withdraw consent at any time (for consent-based processing).
Because HomeLogic does not collect personal data directly, most of these rights are exercised through Google and Cloudflare directly. For AdSense, use the opt-out links in section 3. For Cloudflare, see their privacy policy linked above.
8. Changes to this policy
If we add new features, calculators, or third-party services that change how data is handled, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. We recommend reviewing this page periodically to stay informed. Significant changes will be highlighted with an updated revision date and a brief note in this section.
9. Contact
Questions about this privacy policy can be sent via our contact page. We aim to respond within 5 business days. For urgent privacy concerns related to Google AdSense, contact Google directly using the resources linked in section 4.
